#SantaFe: It's Not The Guns, It's Our Relationship With Guns
This latest mass-shooting in Santa Fe, Texas was also the 22nd school shooting in 2018. The guns this time were a shotgun and .38-caliber revolver, not the infamous AR-15.
The 17-year-old suspect took these guns that legally belonged to his father. Does Texas law require guns to be locked? Or were they just lying around the house?
It was legal for him to possess them under Texas law, without a strict licensing process. Our relationship with guns is far to loose and informal. We need stricter responsibility.
